And the weekend ends....

I had a great weekend filled with friends. Friday night was spent doing nothing and LOVING it! I ended up changing my mind about my nails (hehe, I do this a lot!). This is what I went with.

 This is my go to color. It is classic and looks great!

I had a wonderful time at my best friend's bridal shower. Stupid me though I forgot that I had my camera in my purse and didn't get ONE picture. Oh well! Luckily there were many other cameras to capture her wonderful day. I hope that she enjoyed it and feels how loved she is! Now I can't wait for the shower my momma and I are throwing in a month. I know it will be fun and I hope she enjoys it.

After the shower I got to spend some quality time with my lovebug (D). Here she is with her new sunglasses that I bought her.

I could just eat her up! She is so sweet. Her brother (B) and dad went to the motorcross show downtown so they didn't get in until late. Then this morning I was lucky enough to have this lovebug snuggle up to me and sleep another hour. Ooohhh how I ADORE these kids.

I've had a very productive day. I've gotten my room picked up, the invitations for J's shower printed and enveloped and ready to be mailed, and I've gotten all of my food ready for my daddy to grill for me.

I hope everyone had a great weekend. The weather was GORGEOUS! I am so excited for Spring to be here. I start my new schedule this week, so I'll get to leave a little early which will get me a jump start on traffic (right now it stinks! At least an 1 1/2!!!!!). With getting home a little earlier and with the sun staying out later now, I'm hoping to be able to get out every evening and walk the dogs. Then my mom is having knee replacement surgery this week, so we'll be busy with that!

Thank Goodness It's Friday!

We made it to Friday! Yeah!!! I don't know about you, but this week has been long. Considering last week was Valentine's Day, my birthday, my aunt coming into town, meeting at a friend's for said birthday, then traveling to South Carolina over the weekend, this week has been BORING!!! This could be why it has felt so long!

Anyways, I am looking forward to this weekend. The big event is my very best friend's first bridal shower is this weekend and I am excited to spend time with her and her wonderful friends. Wedding season has officially started for me and it's only going to get busier!

I also get to see these two munchkins this weekend.

B and D are by far my favorite. I don't get to see them as often as I would like (or their parents either:), so I am spending the night with them and can't wait!

One thing about me is that I get to liking something and get stuck on it for a little while. Right now, it is not drying my hair and leaving it curly and this:

I am loving this OPI in Privacy Please. It's a girly color but it's somewhat sheer so you could wear this look everyday with all different kinds of outfits. Can't wait to do my nails tonight :)

Who am I?

I am serious, funny when I try not to be, kind, gentle, sincere, caring, too type A at times, controlling, loving, wanna be clean freak, lazy at times, motivated...

I have a degree in early childhood education, yet for now I am working in a law firm (yes, something I thought I would NEVER EVER do, God laughed at that). I would LOOOOVVEEE to one day be back in the classroom, but right now it is up to God's plan on that one.

I have two precious dogs. Shelby is a sheltie/chow chow mix who is just a loveable teddy bear.

She loves to sleep on her back with her tongue hanging out. Oh, and she also snores like a bear :)

Then there is my baby, Hamilton (Hammie). He is a pure bred sheltie and a drama king!

When I am not busy working I love hanging out with my family, especially my little sister. She and I always have the best time together.

Also in my spare time I love to read, bake, and spend time with my two favorite kids. I used to nanny for the oldest kid (B) and have babysat for both him and his little sister (D) for the past 6 years. That family has become my 2nd family and I am so blessed to have them in my life!

My favorites:

• ANYTHING monogrammed (I recently got a monogrammed ring for my birthday!)
• Polka dots
• Tervis tumblers (I have THREE)
• Ladybugs (thanks Phi Mu :)
• Sweet tea (especially Chick-fil-a's, however, since I am on a huge body makeover, I can't have this right now)
• Cookies (probably over any other dessert)
• Mascara- can't leave home without it!
• Fresh cotton or linen scent
• Pearls and diamonds!!!!

New Beginnings....

Ok, so I have recently become obsessed with reading blogs. So after my best friend caved and started her own blog, I thought I might as well jump on the band wagon. I hope that this blog helps fuel some of my frustration, joy, and creativity in life.


I am hoping that this blog will feature many different things. I have a passion for baking that I am sure will end up on here and I hope to be able to express my many thoughts here as well. Like everyone else I have my good days and bad. The last few months I feel like I have had more bad than good. Recently though I hit a big milestone in my eyes, 25 (eeehhhhhh, I feel OLD). Since then I have turned a corner and am starting a new. Life is too short and God has provided too much to have so many bad days. My goal is to try to see the good in EVERY day (there is always a good to every day)!


I have many things coming up. I am on a huge body makeover that so far is going very well! My best friend is getting married in a few months and the first of many fun events takes place this weekend (hopefully pictures to come). Then it's the summer. I have a decision to make over the next couple of months (more on that later), and then late summer my cousin is getting married. I am both looking forward to and am anxious about everything to come.
